Gross national happiness

Bhutan uses the Gross National Happiness index to measure success!

Ringu Tulku Rinpoche will speak on the Buddhist View of Gross National Happiness at the Denver Zen Center on Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at 7 pm. Free/donation (location is below).

What is success?  Is it what we have, or what we are?  The King of Bhutan has proposed that Gross National Happiness should replace Gross National Product as an indicator of a society’s wellbeing.  When we allow ourselves to be enslaved by the desire for more things, we neglect our communities and unknowingly allow ourselves to participate in activities that destroy the planet.  Ringu Tulku Rinpoche will offer advice on creating a happier world and healthier planet.

Please help us spread the word! Rinpoche’s teaching is (free/donation) at the Denver Zen Center, April 24, 2013 (3101 West 31st Ave, Denver, CO).
